چکیده

In response to increasing energy demand, various types of organic wastes, including industrial and municipal wastewaters, or biomass are considered reliable sources. Wastes now treated in supercritical water (SCW) for non-fossil fuel production recovery. Considering that SCW technologies green energetically effective, implement them on a large scale is worldwide interest. However, issues related the stability functionality materials used harsh conditions reactors still need be addressed. Here we present an overview harvesting from wastes. There catalysts based metals metal oxides, discuss these materials’ efficiency selectivity conditions. We focus processes relevant waste-to-energy field, such as gasification (SCWG) oxidation (SCWO). results reported, mainly last decades connection current concept pseudo-boiling (PB), phenomenon occurring at phase change liquid-like (LL) gas-like (GL) state fluid. This review aims useful database provides guidelines selection abovementioned functional (catalysts, catalyst supports, sorbents) process, starting wastes ending with energy-relevant products.

Hydrogen Production by Supercritical Water Gasification of Wastewater from Food Waste Treatment Processes

Korean food wastes have high moisture content (more than 85 wt%) and their major treatment processes such as drying or biological fermentations generate concentrated organic wastewater (CODs of about 100,000 mgO2/L). For obtaining both wastewater treatment and hydrogen production from renewable resources, supercritical water gasification (SCWG) of the organic wastewater was carried out in this ...
